Move-in activities

For all employees of VWAC, September is a harvest season, because VWAC have accomplished an exciting event this month: we moved to a new home!

Volkswagen (Anhui) Components Co., Ltd (VWAC), the first battery factory of Volkswagen Group in China, is an important layout of Volkswagen Group’s new energy strategy. After more than a year of development, VWAC has not only formed a growing team, but also welcomed our own factory and office building.

On September 14, 2022, we moved to our long-awaited new factory on this celebratory day, and the move was successfully completed! Let’s walk with me into the event site on the moving day!

It was a cool and sunny day. At 8:00 am on 16th September, the General Manager of the Commercial Department, Oliver Harmann, and the General Manager of the Technical Department, Jan Kasper Kuipers, were waiting early at the entrance of the company with smiles to hand out gifts with the VWAC logo to all employees.

After receiving the gifts, everyone took pictures with the two general managers at the entrance of the main office building, recording every bright smile and this historic moment with the sound of the camera button. Then everyone returned to their work stations in a happy mood to start work and look forward to the evening buffet.
