Volkswagen (Anhui) Components Co., Ltd., (“VWAC”) was established in July 2021. As a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group China, it was invested wholly by Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.
VWAC produces high-voltage battery systems for Volkswagen Anhui’s all-electric vehicles based on the Group’s Modular Electric Drive Toolkit (MEB platform), with the start of production (SOP) targeted for the second half of 2023. VWAC will be a “smart factory” with high-tech featured equipment and systems, and will play a key role in Volkswagen Group and in industry e-mobility progress.

Volkswagen (Anhui) Components Co. Ltd.(“VWAC”) covering an area of over 45,000 square meters, is the production base of key components for new energy vehicles.
